Goals of the PWUMC Prayer Ministry

  • To be a church where prayer is the center of everything that we do
  • To develop a hunger among all members to grow in the discipline and understanding of prayer
  • To educate each member of the congregation in the meaning and necessity of "praying without ceasing"
  • To reach out to our community, to inform by example, that Platte Woods Church is a place where anyone can come to receive prayers
  • To glorify God as He responds to the prayers of His people  

Links of Love Prayer Chain
Request a prayer The Links of Love Prayer Chain is a large group of very dedicated members who receive and lift up the praises, needs and concerns of others in prayer. The prayer chain is activated when a prayer request is phoned or e-mailed to one of the team leaders. After praying for the request, the team leaders then begin passing the request on to the other team members by either e-mail or phone. Anyone may contact the team captains to submit a prayer request. We do not require names or details that you would prefer to keep confidential.
