Rev. Christine Tucker-Key
Christine Tucker-Key began her appointment at Platte Woods UMC July 2011. Her primary ministry focus is Congregational Care with development of lay ministries pertaining to congregational care.
Before coming to PWUMC, she served several churches in the Heartland North district, as well as working two years as a Trauma Chaplain for Liberty Hospital. Currently she is also serving as the lead pastor for St. Mark’s UMC in Independence. She is a graduate of Missouri University in Columbia and Saint Paul School of Theology.
Christine and her husband Charlie have four daughters and four grandchildren. They are blessed to own 10 acres in Kansas City and enjoy an abundance of wildlife (not a wild life!). Humor is a mainstay in their household, and they also love company and good music. Christine's passion in ministry is to be inviting, inclusive, compassionate and kind while offering the love and grace of Jesus Christ to all who cross her path each day.
