RU launches a new worship experience!

We are thrilled to announce that Riverside United will launch its very first service at Walden Middle School on Saturday, September 6th, starting at 5:05 PM.

Just like our home at Platte Woods Church, Riverside United is a place where belonging is at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're a long-time follower of Christ, just beginning to explore your faith, or simply seeking a welcoming community, you are fully invited, exactly as you are.

Come with your questions, your hopes, and your authentic self. We're embracing curiosity as we gather to learn, grow, and freshly discover God's presence, right here in the heart of our Riverside community. This is a bold step, and we're excited to lean into this courageous journey together – building a spiritual home where every person can find their place and experience the full life God intends.

Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to a new community rooted in belonging, curiosity, and courage—learning to live out our faith beyond Sunday mornings. We’re excited to be part of the growing Riverside community and to create spaces where everyone is truly included—no asterisks, no exceptions.

Mission & Vision

As one church in two sites, Riverside United and Platte Woods Church invite all people into full life in Jesus Christ that we might become a loving, welcoming community constantly formed by our shared spiritual practices: Gather, Grow, Give, Go

Riverside Values

Our biblical foundations introduce us to a God who loves and cherishes every person God has made; and so our hearts long for every person to know they belong and have a spiritual home at Riverside United. We value belonging, so we intentionally make space for others, especially those who have been kept out.

Jesus models for us a genuine curiosity and openness to others, notably those excluded, marginalized and othered. And so we at Riverside United desire to be curious – to learn, understand and draw closer to God, other people, and creation.

The Holy Spirit provokes us to seek to mend what is broken in our world. And so we have courage to step into the hard places, make the unpopular choices, do the difficult things, even if it costs us – because we know it is the right thing, the loving thing.
