Dynamic Duo: Elisabeth and Mary
Discussion Question: Who has supported you through a difficult time? What did they do or say that was supportive and helpful?
Scripture: Luke 1:5-45
Practice: Reach out to a friend that is going through a difficult time just letting them know that you are thinking about and praying for them.
Prayer:
O God of community,
We aren’t meant to do life alone.
We pray for friendships that go both ways.
May these relationships build bridges, and may we dance across divides to the tune of a new friend.
May these relationships broaden our world and help us grow in empathy & understanding, too.
We pray for camaraderie that sparks wonder and joy,
Laughter and adventure in all the ages and stages of our lives.
Whether we have a group of friends or just one kindred spirit,
Whether the friendships last a lifetime or are treasured for just a season,
May we find the kinship of another
Steeped in mutual merriment and respect.
Offer us a spirit of kindness
To sow grace where there is misunderstanding,
And hope where there is hurt.
Thank you, O God, for the relationships in our lives.
May all of us love one another
As you have loved us. Amen.
