Once you are in the building, the restrooms are located down the hall on your right, before the worship center. That hallway also includes access to our mother’s room and the wiggle room. The welcome desk is located next to the worship center doors to your right. Stop in for a first time gift and to answer any questions.

At the contemporary worship service, there is a section for students to sit together. If this is your first week and your student would rather sit with their family, feel free to stop by the student section and grab a snack, fidget, or something to draw on.
During worship, you can participate as you feel comfortable. Some people sing, others meditate on the lyrics, some pray with their hands raised, and others bow their heads and close their eyes. Feel free to go to the gathering space at any time during worship.
After worship, you can connect in the gathering space with friends or staff members. Our connect desk, by the café, always has fantastic resources for you to take a next step.

Worship at PWC typically lasts around an hour. We have rhythms of worship that include music, prayer, preaching, baptisms, communion, and other experiences to practice our faith together in community.
Children and students are wholeheartedly welcome in worship (See below for more information about children and students). Invitations to sit and stand as a congregation are always as you are able.

Platte Woods Church centers belonging above conforming. During worship, you may see people in casual clothing and suits shaking hands to greet one another. You may also see a child in a princess dress playing in the wiggle room with another in their pajamas. Our experiences are focused on our ability to worship God and connect with others.
The traditional service typically has a more formal feeling that the contemporary.
During football season, we wear red :)

Music styles vary within each service, with our contemporary service led by a rotating team of volunteer musicians and our traditional service led by a choir and select instruments.
Earplugs and children’s headphones are available at both entrances to the worship center and at the sound booth.
Hearing assistance is available upon request. Ask a hospitality team member with a neon lanyard, and they will take care of you.

Our Worship Center has been set up with three alternative worship areas: The Student Section, Sensory Area, and Wiggle Room. The student section is reserved seating for students. The Sensory Area is designated for families to have a little more room to spread out. The Wiggle Room is a space for families with children to worship through play.
Our traditional sanctuary has a wiggle room located in the back that is equipped with audio and large windows to participate in worship. Children are free to play and wiggle to feel comfortable in this space.
Our gathering space features alternative seating areas equipped with screens and sound, allowing all participants to engage in ways that make them feel worshipful.
We want to reiterate that all people (including all abilities and ages) are encouraged to participate in worship through the means that best allow them to encounter God. Your family, your children, and you are invited into this radically inclusive community.
